A smooth, mellow Japanese green tea with a warm, roasted character. Our Houjicha brings together toasty, nutty flavours and gentle caramel notes for a comforting cup with very little bitterness.
Roasting gives the leaves their distinctive reddish-brown colour and sets Houjicha apart from greener, more grassy teas. It’s a lovely choice when you fancy a softer, toastier flavour.
Enjoy it hot for a warming cup, or serve it chilled for a refreshing alternative.
Flavour: toasty and nutty, with caramel notes.
